TNPSC announces 839 diploma and ITI job vacancies, including posts in rural development department

TNPSC CTS 2026 Notification: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the Comprehensive Technical Services (CTS) Examination (Diploma/ITI Level) Notification 2026, announcing the recruitment of 839 vacancies for 56 technical posts in various state government departments. The online application process will begin on July 17 and run until August 15.The recruitment drive includes vacancies in the departments of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Agriculture, Public Works, Highways and Employment and Training. The written examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on September 20, 2026.Ministry of Rural Development occupies most of the vacanciesAmong the posts recruited, there are a large number of vacancies in the rural development and panchayat departments. The committee has notified 149 vacancies for the posts of road inspectors and 129 vacancies for supervisors or junior drafting officers in the department.Other major posts include 119 vacancies for Junior Training Officer in the Department of Employment and Training, 110 vacancies for Assistant Agricultural Officer in the Department of Agriculture and 101 vacancies for Junior Drafting Officer in the Water Resources Department of the Department of Public Works.Eligibility and Selection ProcessCandidates applying for recruitment must hold a prescribed diploma, Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate, National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in relevant engineering or technical discipline as per the post.The selection process will include a written test and document verification. TNPSC said interviews will not be conducted for these technical posts at diploma and ITI levels.Application timetableThe notice stated that the recruitment process will start from the release of the notice on July 7, and the online application window will open on July 17 and close at 11:59 pm on August 15.Once the registration link is activated, eligible candidates will need to submit their applications through the TNPSC online examination portal. Candidates are advised to verify the academic qualifications, qualifications and job specific requirements mentioned in the official notification before submitting the application form.The written examination will be held on September 20, and the specific examination time shall prevail.
