Corporate Mitra course launched in partnership with IIT Madras MoU; registration details to be announced soon
New Delhi: The Corporate Mitra scheme introduced in the Union Budget 2026-27 will create a pool of trained and certified professionals to support MSMEs in managing business and regulatory compliance, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has announced. This initiative will promote ease of doing business and contribute to Viksit Bharat.The Ministry of Corporate Affairs formed a steering committee after the budget announcement to lay the foundation for the implementation of the scheme. Regular reviews by the ministry ensure coordination between professional bodies like ICAI, ICSI and ICoAI and IIT Madras. The ministry guided the finalization of the program guide, manual and Mitra corporate logo.Corporate Mitra Course Details and EligibilityThe program is open to Indian nationals below the age of 30 years who are graduates or students in their final year of graduation. The course consists of approximately 150 hours of online academic learning in expert-led courses, followed by six months of on-the-job training in a professional company.Corporate Mitra certification will be obtained upon successful completion of academic modules and practical training. Candidates will be exposed to accounting, taxation, banking, financial management, legal and secretarial practice, and cost and management accounting.Signing of MoU to launch courseIIT Madras, IIT Pravartak, Swayam Plus, ICAI, ICSI and ICoAI signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 25, 2026, to implement the Corporate Mitra scheme. The Mitra corporate logo was also launched on the same day.Academic support for Corporate Mitra courses will be provided by ICAI, ICSI and ICoAI. This academic module will be promoted nationwide through the Swayam Plus portal. Corporate Affairs also supports the hosting of designed course content on the platform.Fee Structure and Registration UpdatesThe fee for the Corporate Mitra course is Rs 3000 plus GST. Women candidates and candidates from Northeastern states, Himalayan region, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep will get 50% discount on fees.The Ministry of Corporate Affairs said it will soon announce the opening of registration for corporate Mitra courses. The registration process will be conducted through the following website: MCA, swayamgar, ICAI, Intracytoplasmic sperm microinjection swear AI.The program aims to provide structured academic and practical training through professional institutions and educational platforms. Qualified candidates who complete the required modules and training will be awarded Corporate Mitra certification after meeting the stipulated standards.
