Tamil Nadu Chief Minister VijayThe latest release ‘Jana Nayagan’ faced an unexpected setback during its screening at the Chennai cinemas on Sunday. Several screenings were delayed, canceled or suspended after children were found inside the auditorium of an ‘A’ rated film.

The reviews of ‘Jana Nayagan’ stopped at the markets

As ‘Jana Nayagan’ has received an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC, as per the licensing rules only adults are allowed to watch the film in theatres. However, another incident reportedly took place during the 9:25 am show at PVR Cinemas, Ampa Mall. According to a post shared by a fan who was there at the time, the screening of the film was stopped at around 9:35 am when the police entered the hall. He says he noticed that several families have brought children into A’s show.Sharing the video inside the theater, the user added: “The show was stopped for about an hour when parents with children were asked to leave. There was little communication during this time, and the audience was left waiting. Later, the management announced that they would refund the money and the screening resumed after the parents with children left.

Similar incidents were reported in Chennai

Additionally, a report by India Today said that some screenings at various venues were delayed while others were canceled after the theater staff found children under the age of 18 inside the screening hall.

As for ‘Jana Nayagan’, the film is a political drama directed by H Vinoth which marks the last outing of Thalapathy Vijay’s film career as he focuses on politics and is now also serving as the CM of Tamil Nadu.
