Netflix’s latest drama ‘Musafir Cafe’ has been praised for its heartfelt stories and tender handling of love. Directed by Ruchir Arun, the series is based on Divya Prakash Dubey’s best-selling Hindi novel of the same name and premiered on the platform on Friday. With Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto and Mahima Makwana in key roles, it is said to have been made on a tight budget.According to various media reports, Vikrant is the main earner of the game, though he is also working as a co-producer on the project under his banner, Homemade Stories.

Reported salary of directors of ‘Musafir Cafe’

According to several reports, Vikrant Massey was paid around Rs 10 to 15 crore for ‘Musafir Cafe’. Apart from portraying Chander Mohan Sharma, the actor also started co-production in serials.Vedika Pinto, who essays the role of Sudha, reportedly earned between Rs 3 crore and Rs 5 crore. Mahima Makwana, who is seen as Preeti, is said to have received around Rs 2 crore to Rs 3 crore for her performance.Adil Hussain, who plays Mark, reportedly took between Rs 3 crore and Rs 4 crore. Meanwhile, actors Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra and Sadia Siddiqui are said to be paid anywhere between Rs 80 lakh and Rs 2 crore, depending on their roles.

The story follows Chander Mohan Sharma, an engineer who leaves a good job in the United States to return to Bhopal. Forced by his family, he meets Sudha, an independent divorce lawyer who is not interested in marriage and is focused on fulfilling her dreams.Although the two bond, life is unpredictable. Chander eventually moves to Mussoorie, where he opens a restaurant and begins a new chapter with Preeti, whose calm and laid-back nature contrasts sharply with Sudha’s personality.
