Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition launched: only 85 units sold

Jeep India has launched the Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition to celebrate the SUV brand’s 85th anniversary. Based on the premium Overland model, this special edition will be produced in a limited run of 85 units for the Indian market. Priced at Rs 36.05 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated Jeep Meridian range with the newly launched CARA AI voice assistant starts at Rs 30.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The Anniversary Edition gets a number of exterior upgrades that set it apart from the standard SUV. On the outside, it features unique 85th anniversary styling elements and gloss black 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior features an all-black theme, complemented by custom Mayan Gold accents and contrasting details. Buyers can further personalize the SUV with the optional 85th Anniversary AXS package, which includes accessories such as carpeted floor mats, anniversary decals, ambient lighting and Sky Lounge lighting. A highlight of the special edition is the introduction of Stellantis’ intelligent voice assistant CARA AI on Meridian. The system supports natural voice conversations and can handle functions such as navigation, weather updates, reminders, phone calls, music playback, general knowledge queries and selected vehicle controls. Jeep says the assistant supports 52 languages, including several Indian languages, making the in-car experience more intuitive. Mechanically, the Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine that can output 168 horsepower and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, and customers can choose between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The limited-edition model can be booked through authorized Jeep dealers across India as well as the company’s official website.
