One of Yami Gautam’s most loved films, ‘Article 370’ just won the National Film Awards this year. Just a few hours ago, the media and television ministry announced that Gautam has been awarded the Best Actress award for her performance in the film, much to the delight of fans and netizens. The actress, along with her longtime friend and husband, Aditya Dhar, celebrated.

Taking to his Instagram account, the famous actor wrote about the impact of the film and how the success meant to him and the team in ‘Article 370’. He wrote: “Every journey has a moment that reminds you why you didn’t give up. Today is that moment for me. Receiving the Section 370 National Award is an honor that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”Along with one of the official posters of the film, Gautam spoke about how the award is amazing considering all the efforts he has put in over the last 14 years. He added in a statement, “I have only tried to be true to my art, work honestly and let what I do speak for itself. This honor is the culmination of a journey filled with hope, perseverance, courage and an unwavering love for cinema. It is a dream I have had in my heart for many years and today, I receive it with great gratitude and humility.”Talking about ‘Episode 370’ and what it means to him, Gautam added, “Episode 370 has never been another film for me. It was a story that I believed in deeply. The fact that it was our home production made this realization emotional and personal. Every challenge, every conversation and every day on set was driven by one shared goal, to tell this story with honesty and integrity.”

In his letters, the actor continued to talk about how he appreciated and thanked the support from the directors, actors, crew and everyone involved in the film. She also thanked the judges of the National Award for awarding her the award and for deeming her deserving of the title of Best Actress for ‘Article 370’.He also mentioned all the people who watched the film and gave their support, saying, “You reminded us that meaningful stories will always reach people’s hearts,” and added, “Your faith gave me the strength to keep moving forward, even when the destination seemed far away.”Yami concluded her heartfelt speech, saying that this award has only fueled her fire and she will continue to work hard in the future. He wrote, “This award is not the end of a dream; it is the beginning of a great responsibility. To continue to grow, to continue to take risks and to continue to tell important stories. Dreams come true but only when passion refuses to give up. This is for every dreamer who is still waiting for his time. Don’t stop believing.”

Yami Gautam’s husband Aditya Dhar, best known for his role in ‘Dhurandhar’, also starred in ‘Article 370’, which also won the Best Feature Film award at the award show on Saturday. He wrote the same and reviewed the time he and the entire team that worked on the film worked so hard to make it what it is today.He wrote in his letter, “When we started making this film, we didn’t just want to be famous. We were driven by conviction to tell stories with honesty, courage and integrity. To see this journey resonate with audiences across the country and now to be recognized with the highest honor in Indian television, is very exciting.” He also thanked everyone involved in the film, including his partner, and said that filmmakers have a great responsibility to tell important stories. He ended his talk with gratitude and wrote, “From the bottom of my heart … THANK YOU. This honor belongs to all of us.”‘Article 370’ was released in 2024, and along with Yami Gautam in the lead, the film also featured names like Priyamani, Raj Arjun, Shivam Khajuria, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Arun Govil, Raj Zutshi, Divya Seth, and many more.
