A player Dhyan Sreenivasan has made his views clear on the discussions going on around the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). After recently saying that he was not interested in becoming the president of the organization, Dhyan has now clarified his comments. The actor said that leadership positions within AMMA cannot change immediately due to public opinion. He also stressed that those in the current positions should try to solve the existing problems instead of resigning while they are in the process. Dhyan also expressed his hope Shwetha Menonthe current president of AMMA, has completed his full term of three years.
Dhyan Sreenivasan says there is a right way
As reported by Asianet News, while talking to the media about how his name came up in discussions about the leadership of AMMA, Dhyan said, “AMMA is an organization with which my father was closely associated. I have only been a member for a few years. It was when Siddique Ikka became president that I attended an AMMA event for the first time. I have worked with many members of the organization and shared close friendships with them. But there is a difference between personal relationships with members and the group itself. Naturally, when such issues arise in society, we too feel sad. Many people give different answers, and different groups give different ideas. Some people mentioned my name, and small members like Aju. That’s all.”He also said, “Being president is not as easy as people say my name. There is a proper process. I can’t choose today, I will be president tomorrow. Currently, there is a president already elected whose term has not ended. This rule is for three years.”Dhyan made it clear that his name being mentioned by other members should not mean that he wants to contest for the post.

The actor also expressed his views on how the current leadership should deal with the challenges facing the organization.He said, “Leaving when there are problems is not the way to solve the problem. The right way is to solve the problem and finish it at the right time. After that we have to think about what comes next. My personal opinion does not matter here. The important thing is that the authorities have failed in their duties. Personal issues come second. Will they distribute the pension on time? Will they continue to pay them every month? Will they provide support for Sanjeevani? Do they provide insurance? If all these forms of aid continue without interruption, then I believe that the present committee should continue.This organization exists to help its members. If there is any failure in those roles, then people may doubt. Personal conflicts are a different matter. Those issues are already in the courts. However, if the General Body no longer has confidence in the committee, then it must resign. “According to Mr. Dhyan, the functioning of the committee should be considered especially if it has continued the development activities provided to the members of AMMA.Dhyan also spoke in support of Shwetha Menon, saying that she had entered office with the intention of bringing positive changes.He said, “I personally believe that Mr. Shwetha Chechi came with the desire to bring many positive changes. The fact that a woman became the president was a thing of the past. She really wants to do many good things. If there is no failure in the service activities that I have mentioned earlier, then the issues of the members of this organization should be resolved through discussion. Unfortunately, the issue has escalated to the point of lawsuits and disputes. Let them deal with those problems.”“If Mr. Shwetha chechi is still willing to continue working in the organization, then he should remain in his position. A new committee will come after three years. The surprising thing is that many people who elected the current committee are against it. Whatever decision the General Council takes, we will agree with it. But personally I want Shwetha chechi to complete his entire term. He has joined the role with genuine intentions to do good for the organization,” added Dhyan.
The focus should remain on the welfare of the members
Dhyan also said that the organization should be evaluated on the basis of its performance in social services such as pensions, financial assistance and insurance.While acknowledging the controversies surrounding the agency, the actor said these issues should be resolved through proper channels. He said that the General Body has the final say on the future of the current administration.Meanwhile, Dhyan has distanced himself from the idea of taking over the leadership of AMMA.
