Samay Raina: ‘Nothing better than Rs 370 biryani’: Netizens criticize Samay Raina for ‘kandha dega tabhi woh…’ comments: ‘Vasoolunga toh sahi’ | Hindi Movie News
Comedian Samay Raina is back with the second season of ‘India’s Got Latent’, with the first episode featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as celebrity guests. While the show’s return has sparked excitement, an old clip from one of its 2024 episodes has resurfaced online, sparking fresh criticism. The viral video has also sparked discussions on misogyny, acceptance and the kind of humor that is taking hold, especially after the recent Rs 370 biryani controversy that hit the headlines on social media earlier this month. In the video that appears again, a woman who goes to the show with her boyfriend suddenly wakes up and leaves the stage. Curious, Samay asks what happened. The man replied that he rushed home because his father had a small heart attack. When Samay is surprised by the boy’s calmness, he asks why he didn’t accompany him to see the situation. Then he laughs, “Abhi jaake rota na jaake, bhai kandha dega tabhi woh head degi (Go and cry for him. Give him your shoulder, and he’ll give you the head),” drawing laughter from the audience. The video has now gone viral, with several social media users criticizing the statement. One No better than “370 rupai diye hain biryani ke liye vasoolunga toh sahi” Yes, comedy is not the biggest problem in our country, but such familiar language of f*ck, beehive language is widespread and also contributes to crime and violence against women. Men avoid such language/crimes because some men participate and applaud when women are spoken to like that. So don’t look at me with your problem.”Another user said, “Freedom is not measured by what you give… Either way it’s a dinner loan or a shoulder to cry on, and it doesn’t get someone else’s body. These days people use comedy as a washing machine for rotten emotions…Sigh.”The third wrote: “Samay lovers are misogynists, it doesn’t matter if they are men or women, they all hate women, I believe they will meet the ugly people who make fun of them, I don’t feel sorry for you.”Another story said, “I feel bad for protecting this boy when all the drama happened.” they don’t deserve the platform at all, let alone the platform you have to pay to watch this. He could have easily mentioned his behavior but turned it into a joke for a few laughs. “For those who don’t know, the ₹ 370 biryani controversy started after a video of comedian Pranit More went viral. On the show, 23-year-old Himanshu Jangra said that because he spent ₹370 on chicken biryani meals a day, he had to “get back” on that investment. The comment received widespread backlash, after which Himanshu apologized and suspended his social media accounts.Pranit More also publicly apologized, explaining that the audience member’s comments did not represent his views.
