Team’Ramayana‘ has fans counting down the days to the premiere of their big trailer this week. As we begin the countdown to July 24 when the official trailer will hit the internet, fans have been busy turning the film’s art into a visual spectacle. After a grand event in New Delhi on Saturday, the makers unveiled a special comic book that gives an in-depth look at the fictional world inspired by the film. This book features artwork of important people, kingdoms and places, giving fans an in-depth look at the changes they want. Not long after the images from the cartoons appeared on the Internet, social media users began to turn the images into real paintings using AI tools to create images. One of the most shared delights is that of Sai Pallavi’s Sita, whose cartoonish looks have been transformed into pictures with beautiful jewelery and traditional attire. While one sees her in a red and gold-embellished saree, the other sees her in a saffron saree with leaves in her hands.Fans have recreated Yash’s Ravana, portraying the demon king as a brave warrior armed with arrows and royal armour. These images also serve as the first look of the characters, especially after the makers only showed a few glimpses during the ‘Rama First Look’ segment.Other AI-generated scenes include Kunal Kapoor’s Lord Indra in silver armor along with Airavata, and Faisal Malik’s Kumbhakarna. The comics, which were revealed during the film’s promotion, also provide readers with an in-depth look at the kingdoms of Ayodhya, Mithila and Lanka, as well as revealing character illustrations accompanied by brief histories and legends. Some of the characters shown are Ranbir Kapoor Lord Ram, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Adinath Kothare as Bharat, Nitish Sharma as Shatrughan, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Shobana as Kaikesi, Chetan Hansraj as Sumali, Anupam Kher as Jatayu, Kajal Aggarwal as Queen Mandodari, Faisal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Shobana as Kaikesi, Chetan Hansraj as Sumali, Anupam Kher as Jatayu, Kajal Aggarwal as Queen Mandodari, Faisal Malina as Rakesgakur Mutyari, Mukembha Tikuri and Rakesgar Preet Singh as Surpanakha. The book also featured depictions of the Hindu trinity—Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva—along with detailed images of revered holy cities, architecture, royal courts and impressive cityscapes. While these images aren’t official content, fans can expect to see something similar to the first trailer when it’s released online later this week after the film debuts at San Diego Comic-Con. Director Nitesh Tiwari, along with Ranbir, Yash and actor Naimt Malhotra, are expected to attend the grand event in USA, after which the trailer will be released online. The makers have two trailers ready for release. The CBFC gave both – the 4-minute clip and the 4.15-minute video – a ‘U’ certificate.
